Is it looking like home...

Look at all this...

This past week Bob was off with Winter Break...Yeah! so we worked most the week
on Mom's Place. We took a trip Up North for a few days and visited with Bob's Mom,
Wilma and we just played games, went out to eat and Bob and his Mom worked on a project she is doing with the kids at her church...a car they will all race. It was nice to spend time together.
Then came home and worked the rest of the week and on Friday... Jodie & Alivia came over to help out and a few of our friends also helped us doing...a list full of:

NEEDS TO BE DONE...
Make a run to the Salvation Army...again

The Area Rug ...

Here it is Michelle & Mike ... the beautiful 100% wool pile area rug for Grama's Room. So kind of you both to help with Mom's Place...I'm sure she will just love
it. Now her room will be nice, warm and cozy for her. So ... what do you think ?
Everything is just about complete and starting to look like home.

We did it...the floors are all cleaned...

After doing the floors numerous times...they are cleaned. We again on Saturday
went over the floors...we even found our furnace/storage room and cleaned the
floor in there...it is so much better. Then Bob returned the "Concrete Cleaning Machine"...we are so glad that is done. YES!
Also... on Thursday when I was doing floors my friend Char came over and took apart
and cleaned the fig...man that is a nice frig. Have you ever used...Mr Clean Magic Eraser... it is amazing how that white sponge cleans. I still have one more blind and
window to clean from all that drywall dust. We got the curtain rods for the windows and will be putting those up this week. We are pleased at the progress and how it is all coming together for Mom. We are getting there... every day a little closer.

ABUNDANCE is ... the smell of coffee brewing.

Abundance is ... taking the time to do it right.

Abundance is ... a well-spent day that brings good sleep.

Abundance is ... life's blessings of family & friends.

It is a good thing to thank the Lord.
PSALM 92:1

Bob & I had a nice Valentine's Day lunch together...picked up a few more items for
Mom's Place...came home anxious to look at the drying floors...looking good!
And then we just hung out and watched a movie..."Something's Gotta Give"...and laughed
a lot. " What About Bob ? "... no not the movie...now that was a movie...but Bob, I love that man...he has poured hiself into making a home for my Mom. He is a good man and
a crazy man too. HA! So thankful that we can yell and disagree...but then talk it out...
get mad...but then forgive and make up and through this project we have done that.
He is the best man to me and he is getting the job done for Mom's Place.

Did you notice...

The room is looking good...last Saturday Bob and I worked on going through the
stuff downstairs and then loaded up the PT Cruiser and off to the Salvation Army
we went. Have a little more to go through and some to give away. We might be able to park the car in the garage yet this winter. HA! The whole kitchen has been moved
out and put in place. Well...Bob just came up stairs...I need to do something about
DINNER...we are beat...but hungry. Let's eat! Man...I should sleep good tonight... I am exhausted and with some good lovin and Valentines Day tomorrow could be sweet.

Cleaning the floors...again

Today on my list...clean floors from all ground in drywall/mud from drywall guys.
You know that movie ...GROUNDHOG DAY...I feel like that doing these floors...like I am stuck and repeat the same day over and over. Most of the cleaning has been by scraping...scrubbing...mopping all by hand...hard and time consuming work. I have never cleaned any floors as much as these floors...and they don't even shine HA!....too much white dust. So today... Bob and I rented a carpet/floor cleaner and I worked for a good 6 hours...just today...and now Bob is down there
scraping and doing some work on getting the floors cleaned up. Never could of done this without the kitchen sink and the water...all the rinsing. It is looking like concrete and not white but gray. I also cleaned an area rug...that was a breeze.
When we get this completed...we can put down Mom's beautiful new area rug for her
bedroom and the the dining and great room.
Look at the floor...the bathroom is now more gray concrete...and the storage room
is white...and still needs cleaned. Saturday...when I wake up... I want this to be done and check it off my list. I can't wait!

The Kitchen Sink...

The kitchen is coming together. The sink and fixtures are in and now
the plumbing is done...we have running water. The frig is all hooked
up... cleaned and already made ice cubes. The stove is hooked up...
but just needs to be cleaned. Bob also installed the light above the
sink with a dimmer switch...which makes it really very nice.
Now the cabinet doors and fixtures need to be installed. I'm sure Mom
will enjoy being in her kitchen. Can you smell that homemade Sauce & Pasta
mmm looking forward to her cooking a good meal.

The Bathroom...

The plumber finished work in the bathroom and all is working great.
Seemed this would have been the easiest job... not so. I should have
been a plumber...oh well. Also... Bob installed the other light above the sink.
We are thrilled it is done!

Mom's Refreshing Bathroom...

Home Goods...just love that store. Picked up some towels, rugs, toilet paper
holder with matching hand towel ring and a door rack with hooks. The best find was this bath cabinet with drawers and shelves. This will all be great in Mom's bathroom.
Monday...our friend John is coming over to help Bob bring the frig & stove in
from the garage...the walks are clear of snow but it is really cold out. Sure is great to have some good friends to give you a hand. Thanks ... John.
