Mom...& Mother's Day

Mother's Day is always special...knowing my Mother and all she is to me has blessed my life with so much good...Thanks Mom!
Also in May is My Mom's birthday too...so we always celebrate in May.
My Mom turned ... 80 this May. At 80 my Mom can still... cook the best Homemade Sauce & Pasta ever and her salad is just right...something about how she mixes all the ingredients perfect...olive oil, red wine vinegar all together...she can still tap a few steps...sing a good song...play a little on the piano and share her love.
Most of all I just love to be with our family and hear the stories of her growing up and sharing the memories of her life. My Mom has been my hero and still is today. So on Mother's day we got together and grilled some steaks and had a relaxing Sunday at home.I made a trip to our favorite bakery...Manninos to get Mom a Sicilian Cassata Cake and some Cannolis too...thanks to Phil, and his Italian heritage we know good authentic Italian food and enjoy sharing as a family cooking and eating all
the wonderful dishes. I will always be thankful for my Mom and who she is... a beautiful lady.

Easter at our home...

Happy Easter...

So glad the weather was nice on Easter to have the Egg Hunt outside. Bob and Frank
hid the eggs...some not so easy to find. Andrew & Alivia did good hunting for the eggs. It was a relaxing Sunday with our family and a great Easter dinner. Amie and
Grama were playing around with the keyboard downstairs having fun. After dinner
Dennis left for IN to be with his Mom for surgery on Monday. We are praying for a miracle of healing for Diana. We snacked on Easter Candy and enjoyed some cake & pie
together. Later we talked with Corey and his family.

A Gift Basket ...

Went shopping for a Shower Gift ... and put together this basket filled with items
to make of a wonderful Pasta Dinner for Two. I love shopping at... HOME GOODS for most of the items in the basket ... I even found the Rachel Ray magazine there.
I was thinking this would be very useful in my kitchen and so inviting to make
a Homemade Pasta Dinner for the 2 of us. This would be a nice part time job... making
to order Gift Baskets...sounds like something I could do. Cook something homemade
today...like a pot of sauce simmering on the stove and...Kirk...some homemade bread
would complete the meal. My brother, Kirk makes any kind of bread...the best! When he is done that bread looks like it came from a famous bakery shop. I need some
photos of the breads you bake ... Kirk. Have a good meal today!

Abundance is everyday life ...

Spend a few hours with a friend, a loved one, or a child. Make it a protected
time for just the two of you. Do something fun, something relaxing, and something that gives you time and space to talk about life.

Abundance is ... a tickle and a cuddle.

Abundance is ... telling stories, enjoying good food, and sitting around the
table laughing.

Abundance is ... a compliment on how you look.

Abundance is ... offering encouragement instead of objections.

Abundance is ... listening to a three-year-old explain his world to you.

Abundance is ... a warm shoulder in a cold world.

Abundance is ... knowing God hears our prayers.

Caroline's 5Th Birthday ....

Caroline's ... 5TH Birthday Party looks absolutely SWEET! Wish we could have been
there to enjoy all the fun. The next best thing is ... talking on the phone with
Caroline and seeing pictures of her exciting & fun filled day of celebrating. So...
here are a few of our grand baby in Texas. Does this look like fun ... to be a child!

Alivia's 9th Birthday ...

Alivia... celebrated her 9Th Birthday with her new Paris Bedroom and some beautiful gifts to make it complete...a comforter set, fancy pillows, area rug, & pictures.
She also open gifts of clothing and an ipod...she was really excited. The family dog...JACK...loves paper and goes crazy with the wrappings and when he saw the new pillows with those tassels...he went wild. Alivia's dinner menu ...was her now
favorite ... her Mom's homemade Chicken Tacos, rice, chips & salsa. Jodie made several kinds of cupcakes that were a sweet treat for Alivia. The week end before...
Alivia had her first Birthday Slumber Party with five of her girlfriends and they had a lot of fun. Take a look at the finished ... Paris Room.
